A volunteer leader is driven by passion to share their knowledge and time, their most valuable nonrenewable resource, for the greater good.
What advice do you have for others who are looking to serve in a leadership role?
It's kind of like having kids, if you are waiting for the timing to be perfect, it will never happen. Just like with kids, you make time for it once you're in it.
What is your favotire AANC moment?
Hands-down the Annual Education & Legislative Conference. We not only get to educate ourselves but the local government officials too.
What is one goal you hope to accomplish in 2019 with AANC?
Increasing awareness of AANC. I've been surprised by how just adding the badge alone to my email signature has spawned curiosity and questions.
